Adam Holguin is an Award Winning Filmmaker from Los Angeles, CA. 

​

Born in El Sereno, Adam was raised in a close-knit Latino community, and often spent time in the San Gabriel Mountains, Angeles National Forest, and scenic Pasadena, where he spent most of his childhood.

​

In 2018, he attended and graduated from Lesley University with a BA in Creative Writing and a BFA in Filmmaking.

Later, in 2022, he attended Loyola Marymount University where he graduated with an MFA from the School of Film and Television, specializing in Writing and Directing.

​

Adam writes, directs, and edits, his own films, and his stories tend to emphasize the human condition, greyness within morality, behaviorism, and quiet moments that allow audiences to question ethical norms. An avid reader, his stories tend to be infused with heavy literary themes and elements of psychology.

​

With a background in Animation and Visual Design, he often storyboards and art designs his own films as well.

​

As an independent filmmaker, Adam finds it important to craft bold, challenging projects that emphasize the importance of artistic expression, and highlight shifting beliefs in culture and representation.
